The actual H.P.Lovecraft story is in the public domain and is included below. The Lovecraft cosmology is part of all his stories or can be researched at Wikipedia. The gods are dark, inconceivably ancient, alien and all-powerful. The sim is loosely based on the mythos created by American horror writer H.P. Lovecraft, particularly the locales in "The Shadow over Innsmouth" and "The Colour Out of Space". You'll be exploring a coastal town in Massachusetts, 1930. The sim is meant to be beautiful and mysterious and a bit lonely. If you choose to roleplay here, keep in mind that many vistors will be tourists, and not neccessarily roleplaying with you!
